IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM CHEVELEY PARK MEDICAL CENTRE
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
We would like to thank you for all your support and understanding during these difficult times. The NHS is experiencing unprecedented pressures and demand and we at Cheveley Park Medical Centre are working extremely hard to give you the best service we can whilst maintaining rigorous hygiene and maintaining government guidelines.
Unfortunately our reception staff are also experiencing unprecedented occurrences of abuse and some patients are not respecting our staff. We would appreciate your understanding of the pressures we are under and our receptionists can only offer what is available to them. They are not deliberately trying to block access to a GP, but sometimes a GP is not the best and quickest way to deal with a problem. They use care navigation to try to help you achieve a successful resolution to your problem in the quickest and easiest manner.
We will not respond to threats and abuse and anyone using this type of approach may be removed from the practice list.
We are experiencing enormous telephone demand and allocate timed telephone slots, which will operate the same way as an appointment, if you miss your call you will not be called back, so please ensure we have the correct contact details and that you are available for the call. There are ways you can help us cope with this challenging time by:
Ordering your prescription online and on time – it takes 2 working days to process a prescription.
Booking your non-urgent telephone appointment online.
Use our e-consultation service (available via our website www.cheveleyparkmedicalcentre.co.uk ) for all fit note requests, medication queries and minor ailments (eg rashes, hayfever etc).
Considering the most appropriate service to use such as: www.nhs.uk, pharmacies, online 111, opticians, dentist.
Thank you for your co-operation. Drs Jeffery & Telford
On-line prescription requests save time and face to face contact. Register for online access now - ring reception for details.
